Strait-Line Laser Level
The Strait-Line Laser Level is one
of the easiest ways to make a straight line to use as a
reference. This tool is useful for many different applications
such as hanging picture frames, laying tile floors,
or installing shelves. Here are some of the features this
model offers.
Laser - The brains of the
operation
The Strait-Line laser level
generator can make a straight line at any angle. It is accurate
within 1/2-inch at 20 feet. The laser beam that this tool
generates won't cause any damage to finished surfaces. Also, it
is equipped with a special lens that allows the line to
continue over small obstacles such as molding and picture
frames.
Mount - The muscle of the
operation
The Strait-Line laser level
line generator is mounted onto surfaces using pushpins.
These pushpins, which are located on the bottom of the tool,
are activated using push tabs. You will need to push hard to
ensure that the unit is mounted securely onto the wall or
surface.
The push pins on the bottom of the
Strait-Line will obviously cause a little damage to the surface
that the tool is mounted on. If you want to avoid this, you can
use the adhesive stick-on swivel base. This doesn't come in the
package, so you will need to purchase it separately.
Design of the Strait-line
laser level
The Strait-Line Laser Level is
designed to be durable. The case is nylon-reinforced to stand
up to abuse on the jobsite or at home. It also has a rather
compact size, so you should have no trouble fitting it in your
toolbox if you carry one. If you don't, you'll be glad to know
that a carrying pouch is packaged with the tool.
Power of
this strait line laser level
The Strait-Line laser level
requires two AA batteries in a compartment on the bottom of the
tool. They can provide up to 60 hours of use before they need
to be replaced. Batteries aren't included in the package, so
you will need to get some before you can use the laser
level.
You should be able to find many different
uses for the Strait-Line
Laser Level generator. The generated laser
beam doesn't cause damage to finished surfaces. The push
pins on the bottom of the strait line laser
level will though, but you can avoid this
by buying an adhesive stick-on swivel base
separately.
