Inventek Laser
Level
Our Opinion of the Inventek Laser
Level
The Inventek Laser Level is not a
good level overall. It is not as good as many other rotary
laser levels and is not a name brand. It is only available at
QVC. Other brands such as Black and Decker and Strait Line are
better choices and they stand behind their products much
stronger.
The Inventek Laser Level seems to
wobble it’s lasers when you lock them in place. This is not
good when your whole point is trying to be level and accurate.
It also is inaccurate over distances greater than 4 feet. We
measured a few inches off over an eight foot span. The Strait
Line laser level did a much better job and wasn’t off at
all.
For the most part, it seems QVC doesn’t sell
decent products that are made to last. Especially with tools
for construction which are expected to last even longer and be
more durable than standard goods.
We we’re disappointed in the Inventek
Laser Level when the tripod started breaking and not
staying true to our adjustment. The tripod is a small thing but
was just the beginning. After using it along side our trusty
other laser levels for comparisons, we discovered that some of
the workmanship is shotty. We didn’t even drop or mishandle the
unit but it seemed the plastic casing was warping and made of
very flimsy material. They boast it has a vertical and
horizontal laser system but even that failed. The vertical
laser stopped working after a week of light use which was very
disappointing.
Conclusion
Stay away from the Inventek at all costs. It
is a weak product. Be sure to research anything you find on
QVC. Better yet, research anything you are looking to purchase
especially if it’s construction equipment. There are reviews on
our site for Strait Line
laser level, Black and Decker laser
level, and Porter
Cable laser level. Any of these units beats the
Inventek
laser level hands down and should be researched to find
the best one for your application.
